After years of denial, denial, and more denial, Lance Armstrong has finally come clean. In an exclusive interview last night with Oprah Winfrey, Armstrong gave pointed answers to questions about his use of illegal performance enhancements during the course of his career. He also admitted to using of some type of banned substance or blood doping during each of his seven Tour de France titles.
Along with his straightforward confession, Armstrong explained why he decided to admit his guilt now and offered details on how his systemic doping scheme worked. Contrite through much of the interview, he also opened up about his ruthless desire to win and how that desire was driven by arrogance.
Part two, which airs tonight at 9pm EST/PST on OWN and Oprah.com, will certainly reveal answers to more questions that have come up since his confession last night.
